We’ve been running since 2003 which was even before the Civil Partnership Act was introduced.
Proud to be a not-for-profit event helping couples plan their special day.
Our Founder (and his husband) were instrumental in campaigning for and introducing the legislation by working with Parliament and the Registration Service to both train Registrars across the UK as well as draft and update the legislation itself.
Not just another straight-laced wedding show
Our shows are different from oh so many opposite-sex wedding “fayres” – don’t expect to simply pitch up and sit behind a table. Years of experience has shown that vibrancy, fun and interaction are what we know works for our couples – and our exhibitors.
Even today – years after The Civil Partnership and Same-Sex Marriage Acts, we still face discrimination from weddings venues and suppliers.
How do we know?
Simple – our couples tell us and we mystery shop wedding shows and experience it ourselves. In fact, we have even experienced homophobia when we exhibited at so called ‘straight shows’!
We’re all about connecting gay, lesbian and open-minded opposite-sex couples with exhibitors that truly value the LGBTQ+ Community.

Our shows are about passion – NOT profit
We were the first and still only Official and National Gay Wedding Show and as a social enterprise, we’re not out to make our fortunes and run (unlike others that have and probably will try to) by passing-off as us.
