Sunday 21st September 2025, we had the most wonderful time at the Malmaison Manchester for our Autumn Manchester Gay Wedding Show. It was more than just another event — it felt like a celebration of everything that makes this show so special.
After 22 years of bringing you the UK’s official Gay Wedding Shows, this event was packed with joy, colour, community, inspiration and so many incredible moments.
Moments That Made the Day
- Heartfelt Connections & Creative Ideas
People arrived eager to plan their weddings — couples, families, friends — and the atmosphere was alive with ideas. Exhibitors from venues, photographers, clothing, and creative vendors were all there to share their talents, listen to dreams, and bring them to life. One couple summed it up beautifully:
We walked in feeling a bit overwhelmed about planning our day, but we left feeling excited and empowered. Everyone we spoke to just ‘got’ us — and that’s priceless.
– Sam & James, engaged couple
- Entertainment with a Sparkle
As always, Drag artiste Dixie Tucker delivered her signature performance, lighting up the room with charisma, fun, and flair. Our hostess kept spirits high throughout, ensuring that even in busy moments, everyone felt welcomed, included and part of the fun.
- The Venue – Malmaison Manchester
What a backdrop! Elegant, stylish, and perfectly positioned near Canal Street, Malmaison helped set the tone: stylish, beautiful, and full of possibility. Couples were able to explore the venue, imagine walking down an aisle there, or holding their whole celebration in this beautiful space.
- Inspiring Talks & Ceremony Ideas
One of the highlights was The Rights and Ceremony Chat, led by our founder, Gino. As he reminded everyone:
Our mission has always been to give couples the freedom to design a ceremony that feels like them — whether that’s traditional, quirky, spiritual, or totally unique. Your day, your way.
– Gino, Founder of the Gay Wedding Show
- Little Extras That Count
Everyone went home with their Bag of Great Ideas, full of goodies and inspiration. The prize draw added a bit of unexpected anticipation. It’s these small touches that make the show not just informative, but memorable and oh so different to all those traditional Wedding Fayres.
