Over 200,000 couples have already entered into a Civil Partnership or Same-Sex Marriage since 2005 and demand is on the increase to find the very best of the best suppliers for this brand new 580 million pounds new wedding industry.

• Figures have shown an increase of 5.3%; this is the third annual increase following a large decrease between 2013 and 2015 after the introduction of marriages of same-sex couples in 2014.

• Nearly two-thirds (65%) of all civil partnerships formed in 2018 were between men, a similar proportion to the previous year (66%).

• The average age of women forming a civil partnership (51.6 years) was higher than for men (50.5 years).

• London and Manchester continued to be the most popular regions for the formation of civil partnerships and same sex marriages.

Civil Partnerships vs Same-Sex Marriages

The number of same-sex couples forming a civil partnership increased for the third consecutive year. Just under 1,000 couples preferred this option to marriage.
