2007 – Gay Wedding Show Coming to Cardiff

Written by Published in Our History

On the 4th November 2007 The Gay Wedding Show came to Cardiff, bringing excitement, knowledge, fun and ideas to the day.

Visitors were treated to a great and supportive range of suppliers with fantastic displays of ice sculptors, glittering backdrops, 5 ft flames, creative balloon designs and a whole lot more.

Our Drag Host Amber entertained all our guests and introduced two amazing acts who kept us all intrigued with the sounds of Spanish, Latin and European acoustic duo, Gypsy Fire and the amazing voice from our very own Dusty (miss 1960’s) Springfield who bought the house down.

It was a real shame that Cardiff, Swansea and Monmouthshire Register offices all pulled out at the last minute as many visitors were looking forward to seeing the range of example ceremonies on the day, but fear not 2008 will bring a selection of independant celebrants that will present a great range of alternative, bespoke and religious ceremonies.

Gino Meriano, one of the founders of the Gay Wedding Show says” it was a great day and I was pleased to see the show unfold in Cardiff to a great range of suppliers and a warm welcome from the Lord Mayor Gill Bird, as a result of this we are bringing the show back next year.
